For Those Preparing for the 30 Hour Famine

An explanation: This is a two-part survey administered as a program of World Vision at a local church or school level, serves as the basis for a longitudinal study over a two week period of time, intended to measure cognitive and attitudinal change as a result of coordinated participation over a designated weekend, April 25-26, 2008 this year.

• Questionnaire #1  - This questionnaire should be administrated, one week prior to the beginning of the fast, April 18-19, 2007.

• Questionnaire #2  - This second questionnaire should administered one week after, April 28 - May 2, 2008.

The Fast itself is designated primarily for youth groups, and involves training and education prior to the fast, enlisted sponsorships for those participating for the purpose of raising funds for the hungry of the world, and the fast itself under supervised conditions. These questionnaires can be printed and administrated, with the raw data (the questionnaires themselves) sent to the Bresee Institute, 1700 E Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO. 64131, or may be done on-line during the time frame indicated. Participants should be those that have never participated before. They should participate in the study exercises and the fast and each participant complete the questionnaire in the given time frame.a
